As coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread across the US, Guild is taking a specific view of how this impacts our employees, our students and our partners.

Simply put: Most of the 525+ Guilders have the privilege and ability to practice social distancing and to work from home. We are in close contact with our city and state leaders as well as healthcare leaders who are recommending social distancing as the best tool our community has to lessen the impact of Coronavirus. So we’ve decided to ask our employees to start working from home and practicing social distancing as community stewards.
Moreover, we know many Guild students and employer partners are on the frontline of the nation’s response to this situation. Our students are in hospitals and pharmacies, delivering care, as well as supporting the supply chain. We’re so grateful for the work they’re all doing and we have a responsibility to support them in any way we can. For that reason, it’s all the more important that those of us who can help practice social distancing to support our community do so.

We’ll keep our office open for a small group of people who need a place to work safely and comfortably. However, we will ask all candidates to meet us on Zoom for next week’s interview. This is in addition to our previously announced policy halting non-essential travel and postponing our annual Guild Summit. Obviously, this is a developing situation and we will continue to share daily regular updates as we revisit our plan.

As an added step, we are also providing our employees uncapped paid sick time if needed to care for themselves and loved ones.

Finally, we are opening up a Go-Fund-Me for our students who may not have access to healthcare or other support resources. Members of our community can donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/guild-student-support-fund?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

Thank you for doing your part to support our community, both at Guild as well as in Denver and throughout the US.
