Dear Guild Students,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you and express my (and Guild’s) sincere appreciation for all of you.

We’re living in unsettling times. As our nation attacks the spread of COVID-19, businesses and schools have closed their doors, millions of workers have been sent home and we’ve been introduced to strange concepts like social distancing. All of these changes have happened suddenly, too, breaking up our normal routines, scheduled plans and home dynamics.

Many of you, though, bear an even greater burden. Against this backdrop of uncertainty, you can’t shelter at home or quarantine with your loved ones. You are on the frontline of the pandemic. Perhaps you are in a healthcare clinic helping to treat the sick, or in a stockroom at Walmart or Lowe’s helping to fill the shelves of a store suddenly filled with anxious and uncertain shoppers. You might be making food for a hungry family or performing a delivery that supports our country’s supply chain.

My message to you is that we see you — and we are here for you on the frontline.

Your professionalism, kindness and day-to-day bravery are powering our country. I would like to share our sincere gratitude for the work you are doing.

At Guild, our work is always motivated by what we can do to support America’s workforce, to help them use education as a tool for growth and to unlock opportunity. That’s a particularly humbling mission to support at a time like this, when we can see both the tenacity and selflessness of so many of you. In service of that — Guild has partnered with Southern New Hampshire University and Penn Foster to create free, online training designed specifically for those of you on the frontline, to support you during this time of uncertainty.

We know that many of our students, along with millions of other frontline employees, don’t have the opportunity to self-quarantine. As a mission-driven organization, we support all of you — and want you to know how much your collective work — and each of you as individuals — mean to us.

On behalf of our team: Thank you, we are grateful. As you continue to fight for all of us, we will do the same for you.

Sincerely,

Josh Scott, and Guild’s Student Success Advisors and Education Coaches
